Why NLP?

Neuro Linguistic Programming is mind and language tools to create the life you want.

Jamie McDonald (Adventurer) interviewed by Paul Goddard NLP by Paul Goddard on Mixcloud

Neuro. This word sums up our “neurological” processes – the mind and nervous system. We experience the world through our senses. Visual – Auditory – Kinaesthetic – Olfactory – Gustatory.

Linguistic. Communicating our “neurological” processes through language gives us clues to how we operate: Pictures – Sounds – Feelings – Tastes – Smells Words … self talk.

Programming. Is summed up by our beliefs and how we operate – the term comes from cybernetics and makes it easy for us to understand the processes going on in the mind.

It was developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder and grew from an investigation into how successful people achieve excellence. They discovered that every one of us has this potential if we only knew how to access our resources.

This research showed that if the average or below average modelled the excellent, then they too, with the right determination, could also achieve outstanding results.

Whether you wish to have more confidence, pick up a new skill, enhance your sporting career, or cure a phobia. NLP can help.

I have been trained to a high standard by Kim Philips, and I am a Certified INLPTA Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
